We are very excited to announce our very own Jennifer Conner was published in Living Midland Magazine last month, featuring her involvement with the organization Big Brothers Big Sisters of Midland. This publication is only printed twice a year, so it is a great accomplishment to see her hours of volunteering be recognized.
Since 1975, Big Brothers Big Sisters of Midland, Texas has helped children reach their potential and grow into energetic, devoted members of the community. As of August 2017, BBBS served 184 children, whom many come from single-parent homes, or low-income families. Having additional support in these children’s lives has helped many avoid risky behavior. The organization has helped yield their attention to academics and beneficial activities that will help them grow in the future.
Jennifer is an account manager here at Insource in the Life, Health, & Group Benefits department. Because of her mother’s involvement as a “big,” Jennifer grew up within the organization as a “little” when she was only 6 years old after her father had passed. She then became a “big” in high school and after that served on the board of directors for 12 years when she returned to Midland. Now her son is involved in the program as a “little”. In 2017, Jennifer was also awarded the Board Member of the Year Award for her dedication to organization. As you can tell, they are definitely a family that likes to give back, and we are proud to have Jennifer as a part of our team here at InSource!
Here at InSource, we are passionate about giving back to the communities where we live and work. Our giving takes on many forms, including philanthropy, volunteerism, and working with non-profits. Jennifer is an example of what we at InSource pride ourselves on. We are not just another absent-minded company, we are here to make a difference. We encourage all of our employees to get involved in programs, whether they are nationwide, worldwide, or right here in Texas. This involvement, supported by our local ownership, is one of the many aspects for InSource that sets us apart from other companies in the area. We can’t to see this volunteerism continue to grow in the future!
